This year, the Police Department will be hosting a Cram the Cruiser Event on Saturday alongside our Shred Day. They will be collecting school supplies for Garden City School Students from 10am until 1pm in the City Hall/Police Department Parking Lot.

Joining us this year, the Michigan Mobile Secretary of State will be onsite from 10am until 1pm as well! This is an excellent opportunity to take care of your Secretary of State transactions just down the street! Whether you need to get your first Michigan ID, renew your driver’s license or ID, transfer a vehicle title, or apply for or renew a disability placard, the mobile office will be there to help you with all these services.

Garden City's annual Community Shred Day event allows Garden City Residents and Business owners to drop off sensitive paper documents for shredding at no charge.

This years event will be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 from 10 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Location: Garden City City Hall Main Parking Lot 6000 Middlebelt Road Garden City, MI 48135 (enter off of Central Avenue from Ford Road)

Please note that vehicles must be in line by 12:45 P.M.
We will accept up to five paper grocery bags or cardboard banker's boxes of sensitive paper documents from Garden City residents & businesses to shred at no charge.

During the Community Shred Day event city staff will also be collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations for the H.O.M.E. Food Pantry.

The police department will also be on hand to accept drop off of unwanted/unneeded/expired prescription drugs. (please no liquids or sharps)
