Tamalpais Union High School District Bomb Threat
During the early morning hours on Friday, September 13, 2024, the Central Marin Police received a report from the Tamalpais Union High School District Office of a bomb threat sent to the District Office. The bomb threat did not identify a specific school site.
Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the students and the community, the District made the determination to cancel school today. The Central Marin Police responded to all the schools under the purview of the Tamalpais Union High School District, in the Central Marin jurisdiction, and cleared those sites of any potential threats.
The Central Marin Police is actively investigating this incident and is attempting to identify the individual/s responsible for the threat. We will vigorously pursue all leads until we identify and arrest the individual/s for this crime.
We would like to thank the Tamalpais Union High School District for its partnership in quickly notifying the Central Marin Police and for its collaborative efforts in addressing the safety of the students and the general public.
