Juvenile Arrested for Making Criminal Threats 
On Friday, September 13, 2024, while investigating a bomb threat at schools within the Tamalpais Union High School District, the Central Marin Police received a report from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) regarding a threat of a school shooting in San Anselmo today.
Through collaborative efforts with the FBI and further investigative work, the Central Marin Police identified the suspect who posted the threat on social media.
The suspect was located and arrested in San Anselmo for criminal threats. The suspect is a 15-year-old juvenile female who resides in San Anselmo and attends a school within the Tamalpais Union High School District.
The Central Marin Police and our school partners take all threats of violence extremely seriously. We will continue to work diligently to identify and apprehend those responsible. School safety and providing a safe place for students to thrive is of paramount importance.
