Fatal Crash on Teasdale Lake St. 
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a fatal traffic crash on Teasdale Lake St West of Robbins Lake Rd in Cass County's Porter Township. This crash occurred on 09/13/2024 at approximately 2330 Hours.
The initial investigation of the crash showed that a vehicle traveling westbound on Teasdale Lake St., West of Robbins Lake Rd was traveling at a high rate of speed. The Drive lost control to the right, flipped the vehicle on its top and the vehicle slid down an embankment for approximately 50 yards, hit a tree, and came to rest at the bottom of the embankment. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was transported by ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for minor injuries
The passenger involved in the crash was wearing seat belts. The driver involved in this crash was not wearing a seatbelt. Alcohol and drugs are believed to be a contributing factor in this crash.
