The Village of Sauk City is conducting crack filling throughout the village streets, and on the riverfront trail in Riverfront Park, today and tomorrow. This project aims to improve and extend the lifespan of the village streets and trails by sealing pavement cracks. Crack filling is a mobile operation that results in minimal disturbance to residences, businesses and motorists. The roadways will remain open to at least one lane of traffic in each direction at all times and any lane closures will occur between 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to minimize the impact during peak travel times. Parking may be restricted for short periods of time when the contractor is working along local streets.

The Village of Sauk City also plans to flush hydrants throughout the village during this week of September 16th, between the hours of 7:00am and 3:30pm. This is an important preventative maintenance activity to ensure the integrity of the water system and deliver the highest quality water to our customers. Residents near the vicinity of the flushing may experience temporary discoloration of their water. This is harmless and does not affect the safety of water consumption. If your water seems to be discolored, you can clear this issue by running all water faucets inside your home for several minutes, or until the water clears. Please wait until the water is clear before washing any laundry.
