South Brunswick Honors Local Veteran with Street Sign Dedication Ceremony
This Saturday, September 21st South Brunswick Township will hold a Veteran Street Sign Dedication Ceremony which will take place at 11:00 AM at the intersection of Hodge and Kendall Roads in Kendall Park, to honor local Veteran Raymond E. Doscher. The Township holds these dedications, recognizing local veterans for their military service, in the Spring and Fall.
Raymond Doscher became one of the first residents of Kendall Park in 1957. He enlisted into the United States Army Air Force on September 1, 1942 during World War II. He was part of the 870th Bombardment Squadron and completed the Antiaircraft Machine Gun Training Course of the Fourth Antiaircraft Command.
Doscher, served until his Honorable discharge on November 24, 1945 with outstanding leadership and courage receiving the World War II Victory Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal.
