The Township of Washington Police Department wants to inform our residents that Colonial Boulevard will NOT BE CLOSED to vehicle traffic on Halloween, October 31, 2024. Once again, there will be NO STREET CLOSURE.The Township of Washington Police Department encourages Halloween Festivities and wants everyone to have fun and be safe! Consider participating in the other Halloween events in town such as the Ragamuffin Parade and Washington’s Wicked 5K/Kid’s Fun Run. Check the town and library websites for more information on the various events.
The Township of Washington Police Department offers the following Halloween Safety Tips to All!
· All candy should be inspected by an adult prior to being consumed
· Stay visible when Trick or Treating
· Use crosswalks when crossing the street
· Stay on sidewalks whenever possible
· Be Alert and Aware of your surroundings
· Use flashlights and/or glowsticks for visibility at night
· Never go into a stranger’s home or car
