Skatepark meet-up reminder; Municipal Office's to have adjusted hours Thursday; Vaccine and health screening clinics announced

Attend the Maritime Park Skatepark Meet-up tonight

Residents are invited to the Maritime Park Skatepark Meet-up tonight, Sept. 17, at 5 p.m. at Castle Point Skatepark at Sinatra Drive and Eighth Street. This event offers an opportunity for the community to provide input on the design of the new skatepark at Maritime Park. City staff, along with members of SCAPE and Action Sports Design, will be present to hear residents' feedback.

Hoboken community members can also take an online survey at hobokennj.gov/skateparksurvey. The survey will close on Monday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m.

Municipal office hours adjusted Thursday, Sept. 19

The City of Hoboken will host an employee appreciation day on Thursday, Sept. 19. As such, the following municipal offices will close early at 12:30 pm:

  • Office of Constituent Services
  • Hoboken Parking Utility Customer Service Window
  • Office of Vital Statistics
  • Construction Office
  • Office of the City Engineer
  • City Clerk's Office
  • Senior Services
  • Division of Housing and Rent Leveling & Stabilization Office
  • Tax Office 
  • Zoning Office
  • Division of Recreation 

Municipal Court will be in session as scheduled.

Street cleaning and waste collection will occur as scheduled.

All recreation programs will occur as scheduled.

Parking regulations remain in effect.

Hop shuttle service will operate as scheduled.

Health screenings and vaccine clinics offered 

The City's Health Division and the Hudson Regional Health Commission are offering FREE COVID-19 and flu vaccines along with health screenings this fall and winter.

Clinics will be held on Sept. 19, Oct. 17, Nov. 21, and Dec. 19 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Multi-Service Center (124 Grand St).

The clinics will provide the new Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for individuals aged 6 months and older, as well as the seasonal flu vaccine for individuals 18 and older. Free health screenings, including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, COVID testing, and weight checks, will also be available.

Appointments are not needed for health screenings but are recommended for vaccines. They can be made at HudsonCountyVax.org
