The San Mateo Police Officers' Association presents "The Pink Patch Party"
As we have done for the past several years, our department and The San Mateo Police Officers' Association participate in the Pink Patch Project, a breast cancer awareness initiative, where officers and patrol vehicles don pink patches to bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer.
In addition to the pink patches, our dedicated officers will be hosting their 3rd annual Pink Patch Party in Downtown San Mateo. We invite the community to join us on Saturday, October 5th from 11-4pm. It's an informative event in a fun environment where those who need it can receive a "no-cost to patient" free mammogram screening, and receive resource information & support, as we celebrate survivors and raise awareness.
There will be live music, amazing vendors, food, games, raffles, a donut eating contest, police demos, & more! Thank you to our sponsor Verkada for their support for the second year in a row, and to Sutter Health Alta Bates Summit Medical Center for providing the mobile mammogram screening again.
All proceeds from this event go to benefit newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
You can also support our initiative by joining us for Jokes for the Jugs, Laughter is the Breast Medicine Comedy Night at Par 3 at Poplar Creek Golf Course on Saturday, October 12th. Tickets are $35 for 21 and up. The event, hosted by Jason Toupes, features the comedic stylings of Reg Thomas, Chelsea Bearce, Mandy Simonson, and Shawn Felipe. To purchase tickets, visit www.sanmateopoa.org/comedy-night.
We hope you'll join us in October as we Detect It. Treat It. Defeat It.
