Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to an in-progress burglary.
On September 14, at approximately 6:25 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1300 block of Vandever Avenue, in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, police located 39-year-old Dwayne Spence in the 1400 block of Vandever Avenue, and took him into custody without incident.
Spence has been charged with the following offenses:
• Burglary (First Degree)
• Theft Under $1,500
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $6,000 cash-only bail.
