On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at approximately 9:05 a.m., the Campbell Police Department responded to a traffic collision involving a bicyclist at the intersection of San Tomas Expressway and W. Campbell Avenue.
The adult male bicyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The adult male driver involved remained on scene and fully cooperated with officers. At this time, there is no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident and the cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
Southbound lanes of San Tomas Expressway remain closed, and updates will be provided through the Campbell Police Department’s social media channels.
