* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following counties, central Monterey and south central San Benito.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 758 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.25 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.25 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Soledad, Greenfield and King City. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
