Throughout the morning, Meridian Detectives followed up on various leads and ultimately identified thirty-four (34) year-old Jacob WILLIAMS of Boise as the suspect. WILLIAMS was later located at a residence on the 5200 block of N Brookfield Place in Boise. WILLIAMS was taken into custody without further incident and arrested and transported to Ada County Jail for one (1) count of felony malicious injury to property and three (3) counts of felony aggravated assault.

The Meridian Police Department requests the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a shooting.
On September 19, 2024, at approximately 7:19 a.m., Meridian Officers were dispatched to a reported shooting near a business complex on the southeast corner of Ustick and Eagle Road. The suspect drove northbound through the business parking lot in a newer white Dodge Ram, four-door truck. Thankfully, no one was injured.
Upon further investigation, it appears the suspect was acting suspiciously in the parking lot for an extended period. Two individuals who saw this behavior decided to confront the suspect. A verbal altercation began and the suspect pulled out a baton and ultimately a gun, firing multiple rounds before fleeing to his vehicle. The suspect was described to police as a 5’10’ – 6’ white male. The suspect was wearing grey sweatpants and a black sweatshirt.
Meridian Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect involved in the shooting or any potential witnesses. It is believed this is an isolated incident, however, with the suspect still at large officers are asking residents to stay vigilant and call local law enforcement if they see someone who matches the suspect’s description. Please do not attempt to confront the individual.
