* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northwestern Cherokee County in southeastern Kansas... South central Crawford County in southeastern Kansas...

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 811 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Mccune, or 8 miles northeast of Oswego, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Columbus, Cherokee, Weir, Sherman, Scammon, Mccune, West Mineral, Roseland, Carona, Skidmore, Sherwin, Stippville, and Hallowell.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CHEROKEE, KS ... CRAWFORD, KS

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm.
