1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1515) 800 Block of Melbourne Avenue, Civic District

The female victim, 70, and male victim, 64, were inside their residence when the known suspect brandished a knife and threatened them with it. The suspect was arrested without incident. ARRESTED: Juvenile male, 16, for assault with a deadly weapon.


2. Robbery (1700) 400 Block of East Weber Ave, Civic District

The male victim, 39, was in the listed area when the suspect approached him from behind, took his property, and fled on foot. SUSPECT: Hispanic male, 40-50.


3. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1806) 3500 Block of Townshend Circle, Valley Oak District

The female victim, 55, and male victim, 54, were near the listed location when the suspect exited a vehicle, brandished a handgun, and then fled the area. SUSPECT: Hispanic male, 20-25.


4. Carjacking Arrest (1947) 1500 Block of East Walnut Street, Civic District

The male victim, 29, was near the listed location when the female suspect vandalized his vehicle. As the victim exited his car, a male suspect fled with the victim's vehicle, and the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as he tried to hold on to the car. Officers located the vehicle, but the driver failed to yield, leading officers on a pursuit. The pursuit ended when the suspect collided with a curb and fled on foot. Officers apprehended the suspect after a short foot chase. ARRESTED: Ryan Gier, 29, for carjacking and traffic charges.


5. Injury Collision (2249) Pacific Ave and Yokuts Ave, Lakeview District

The female pedestrian, 53, was standing in the middle of the roadway when struck by a vehicle. She was transported to an area hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Traffic officers responded for the investigation.


6. Person Shot (2300) Lafayette Street and California Street, Seaport District

The male victim, 37, was in the area of the call location when he was shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECTS: 6 Black males.


7. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2324) 2700 Block of County Club Boulevard, Civic District

The female victim, 34, was in the area when the suspect threatened her, pulled out a knife, and swung it at her. ARRESTED: Cleveland Hughes, 71, for assault with a deadly weapon charge.


8. Person shot (0048) 300 Block of South San Joaquin Street, Seaport District

The male victim, 42, was in the area of the call location when he was shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: Unknown.
