MERIDIAN— During the week of September 9, 2024, the Meridian Police Department responded to multiple reports of residential burglaries, primarily occurring south of the I-84 corridor. The incidents involved suspects forcibly entering homes through rear windows and doors, targeting small, easily transportable valuables within the residences. The Meridian Police Department encourages residents to report suspicious activity to Ada County Dispatch, at 208-377-6790, when these instances occur.
Residents who have noticed suspicious behavior or possess information regarding these burglaries are asked to contact the Meridian Police Department, Property Crimes Unit at [email protected]. You can also make a tip at Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS (2677) www.343COPS.com or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.
As this remains an ongoing investigation, the MPD will provide updates as additional information becomes available.
As a resource to Meridian residents, the Meridian Police Crime Prevention Unit is available to assist residents and Homeowners Associations (HOAs) in establishing neighborhood watch groups and providing guidance on enhancing home security measures to help deter crime.
