Weather Outlook for Tribal Recognition Day 2024

Key Points: 

• Below normal temperatures expected Saturday with forecast highs around 93 F. Temperatures will warm to above normal beginning next week.
• West to northwest winds will be around 10 mph with very low chances (0-5) percent for gusts greater than 15 mph.
• No impactful weather currently anticipated throughout the duration of the event. 

• Wear light colored, loose fitted clothes, sunscreen, and a hat or umbrella for pesonal shade.
• Take frequent breaks.
• Stay hydrated! Drink Water! By the time you feel thirsty, you are dehydrated!
• Check on elders, children, and vulnerable people.
• LOOK before you LOCK! Do not leave children, pets, or vulnerable adults unattended in a vehicle.
• If you become light-headed or dizzy seek first aid.
• A Cooling Station will be located in the Azul Room for individuals to cool down in.
• NO FOOD or DRINKS will be allowed in the Cooling Station. The only amenity that will be provided is air conditioning.
