September 20, 2024:
- Officer Bean responded to the 1200 block of North West Avenue for a personal welfare check. A 22-year-old male was transported to the hospital. Charges will be sought on the male for possession of narcotics.
- Officer Cantu and Officer Goings were dispatched to the 1400 block of North Wisner Street for a subject shoplifting. A 37-year-old male was arrested for retail fraud, possession of narcotics, and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
- Detective Klimmer and Lieutenant Lillie conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was reported stolen near East Wesley Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The vehicle was returned to the owner. Charges will be sought on a 14-year-old male for receiving and concealing stolen property.
- Officer Brooker responded to the 200 block of South Forbes Street for a personal welfare check.
- Officer Vernier was dispatched to the 1000 block of North West Avenue for a larceny report. Charges will be sought on a 34-year-old male for strong-arm robbery.
- Officer Soloman conducted a traffic stop at East Michigan Avenue and North Horton Street. The 35-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
- Officers attended the Art and Music Festival downtown.
- Sergeant Kruso made contact with subjects in the 700 block of Greenwood Avenue. A 68-year-old male was arrested for violating a personal protection order. A 31-year-old male was arrested for conditional bond violation.
- Officer Bean conducted a traffic stop near North Jackson Street and West Ganson Street. The 40-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
- Officer Soloman conducted a traffic stop at East Ganson Street and North Waterloo Avenue. Charges will be sought on the 40-year-old female driver for possession of narcotics.
- Officers were dispatched to a hit and run accident in the 200 block of East Franklin Street.
- Officer Soloman conducted a traffic stop near Teneyck Street and Summit Avenue. The 48-year-old male driver was arrested for conditional bond violation.
- Officer Cantu and Officer Goings responded to the 100 block of Van Dorn Street for a breaking and entering report. Malicious destruction of property charges will be sought on a 32-year-old male.
- Sergeant Stanton and several Reserve Officers attended the Big Miles for Little Smiles walk.
- Officer Justice was dispatched to the 700 block of South Elm Avenue for an assault report. Officers were unable to locate the 27-year-old male suspect.
- Officer Vernier responded to the 400 block of Dewey Avenue for a personal welfare check.
