| Moorpark, California. – On September 20, 2024, one driver was arrested for DUI related charges at a Driver’s License/ DUI Checkpoint. The DUI checkpoint was conducted on Tierra Rejada Road and Mountain Meadow Drive in the City of Moorpark from 6:00pm until 1:00am. Three drivers were cited for operating a vehicle while unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked driver’s license. Additional citations were issued for various Vehicle Code violations. A total of 648 vehicles were contacted. DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.    |
