Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery in Downtown Absecon Business District 
On September 23, 2024 just after 7:30 PM, officers from the Absecon Police Department responded to an armed robbery in the downtown Absecon business district on New Jersey Avenue.
A 9-1-1 caller reported that an unidentified male brandished a knife and demanded money from a local business owner. Fortunately, the business owner was able to flee the establishment unharmed. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
The Absecon Police Department is actively investigating the incident and seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
Suspect Description:
- Age: 25 to 35 years old
- Race: Black or African American
- Height: 5’ 3” to 5’ 7”
- Weight: 145 to 175 lbs
