The intersection remains on red flash as the City continues coordination with our rail partners to sync the equipment for the rail crossing with the City’s traffic signals. We are optimistic that we will see full functionality of the intersection by the end of this week. The City apologizes for the inconvenience that the extended outage has caused and we are working as quickly as possible to resolve it.
A few reminders:
- When traffic signals are dark or on red flash, please approach the intersection slowly and treat it as a four-way stop with a stop sign.
- The City cannot re-energize the traffic signals without syncing the equipment with the rail crossings for public safety.
- Placing temporary traffic signals at the intersection does not address the rail crossing safety issue.
