Arrest of Suspect Concealing Firearm
 
Proactive policing leads to arrest of suspect with a concealed firearm.
 
San Mateo, CA – On September 24, 2024, at 9:00 p.m., San Mateo Police Department arrested a suspect, identified as Prince-John Sese, for concealing an unregistered firearm.      
 
Officers were on routine patrol around the area of South Delaware Street and 31^st Avenue.  An officer saw a car parked in the red zone and a records check of the vehicle showed the registration of the vehicle was suspended.  The officer contacted the driver and only occupant of the car, Prince-John Sese.  During the interaction, Sese provided consent to search his vehicle.  Officers located a loaded unregistered Glock handgun that did not have a serial number imprinted on the firearm.  Officers also located two additional realistic looking replica firearms.
 
Sese was arrested for firearm related charges and booked into San Mateo County Jail.
