SVRRNK The National Weather Service in BLACKSBURG has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southwestern Greenbrier County in southeastern West Virginia... Summers County in southeastern West Virginia... Northwestern Monroe County in southeastern West Virginia...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 411 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Sandstone to Hix to near Pipestem, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Hinton... Alderson... Rupert... Pipestem... Sandstone... Asbury... and Buck.

* AFFECTED AREAS: GREENBRIER, WV ... MONROE, WV ... SUMMERS, WV

Instructions:

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. For your safety, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Stay away from windows.
