* Tornado Warning for... Northeastern Smyth County in southwestern Virginia... Southeastern Tazewell County in southwestern Virginia... Southwestern Bland County in southwestern Virginia... Northwestern Wythe County in southwestern Virginia...

* Until 930 PM EDT.

* At 851 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Atkins, or over Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, moving north at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include... Rural Retreat... Ceres... Mount Rogers National Recreation Area... Burkes Garden... Nebo... Marion Wytheville... and Atkins.
