Wilmington Police arrest man in connection to multiple burglary incidents following investigation:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to multiple burglary incidents following an investigation.
On September 8, at approximately 2:43 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 4200 block of North Market Street, in reference to a burglary incident. On September 13, at approximately 4:52 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 2900 block of North Market Street, in reference to a burglary incident. These cases were assigned to Detective Kevin Nolan and Detective Brendan Wham of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Through the course of their investigation, Detective Nolan and Detective Wham identified 55-year-old Mark Waters as a suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest. On September 24, Waters was taken into custody without incident.
Waters has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Third Degree) – Two Counts
- Theft Over $1,500
- Theft Under $1,500
- Criminal Mischief Over $1,000
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
- Possession of Burglar Tools
- Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony
