Wilmington Police have arrested a male juvenile in connection to a shots fired incident.
On September 25, at approximately 2:55 p.m., police responded to the Unit block of East 15th Street, in reference to a shots fired incident, with no injuries. Upon arrival, officers observed a male subject fleeing the area on foot. Police made contact with a 15-year-old male juvenile, who was taken into custody without incident. The 15-year-old male juvenile was found to be in possession of a loaded .380 caliber handgun.
The 15-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Receiving a Stolen Firearm
- Discharging a Firearm on a City Street – Six Counts
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the New Castle County Juvenile Detention Center on $40,000 cash-only bail.
