Hit and Run Suspect Arrested After Deputies Conduct Area Check and Find His Vehicle with Front End Damage

LOCATION: Main Street / Key Point Drive, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Antonio Jimenez, 32-years-old, Resident of Hesperia
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at about 8:17 a.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station responded to a hit and run traffic collision at Main Street and Key Point Drive. The victims’ vehicle had rolled, and the driver was trapped inside the vehicle. The San Bernardino Co. Fire Department was able to extricate the victim from the vehicle and was found to have minor injuries.
Witnesses provided detailed information on the suspect vehicle and described it to be a silver Honda with front end damage. Deputies conducted an area check and located the suspect vehicle traveling near Sheffield Street and Rock Springs Road. The driver Antonio Jimenz was detained without incident. Jimenez was arrested, cited, and released.
The investigation is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
