SUSPECT: Alexander Torres, 38 years of age, resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 9:29am, deputies responded to a 911 call in the 18400 block of Thomas Court in Adelanto.
According to the caller, Alexander Torres went to his father’s house and started assaulting him. Deputies arrived, and through the investigation were able to substantiate the allegations. Torres became combative with deputies during arrest but was eventually taken into custody.
While still at the residence, deputies received a report of a female stabbing victim at Dunes Liquor in Adelanto. Deputies learned Torres had met the victim for the first time at the liquor store. After a verbal disagreement, Torres stabbed the victim in the chest with a screwdriver before walking to his father’s residence. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Alexander Torres was arrested for elder abuse, obstructing a peace officer, and assault with a deadly weapon and booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
