Flood Warning until 04:00PM Sunday

...The National Weather Service in Peachtree City GA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia... Flint River near Griffin affecting Fayette and Spalding Counties. Flint River at US 19 near Carsonville affecting Talbot, Crawford, Upson and Taylor Counties. Flint River near Lovejoy affecting Fayette, Spalding and Clayton Counties.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Flint River near Griffin.

* WHEN...From Friday morning to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Minor flooding continues in the woodlands...fields and pasture upstream and downstream from the gage on Georgia Highway 16 or Newnan Road. The backyards of homes at the end of Landing Way upstream from the bridge will begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 4.4 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late Friday morning to 12.6 feet Friday evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning to 11.3 feet Saturday morning. It will rise above flood stage again Saturday evening to 12.4 feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage again late Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 12 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
