URGENT MESSAGE: Flooding - Henderson County

Significant flooding is expected along the French Broad River Valley.  Impacts are expected to exceed those from the 2004 storms Francis & Ivan and potentially exceed the Flood of 1916.  Residents within the 500-year floodplain in Etowah, Mills River and Fletcher should make plans to evacuate as the river is expected to continue to rise over the next 24 hours.  CHECK THE FLOOD MAPS NOW by visiting the Emergency Information Page at: https://www.hendersoncountync.gov/em additional storm information such as road conditions, shelter information and call center details can be found on that page.

Instructions:

Residents within the 500-year floodplain in Etowah, Mills River and Fletcher should make plans to evacuate as the river is expected to continue to rise over the next 24 hours.
