Traffic Stop in Needles Leads to the Arrest of Man who was in Possession of Drugs and Weapon



DATE/TIME: September 26, 2024, at 2:15 a.m.

INCIDENT: PC 29800(a)(1) – Felon in Possession of a Firearm
PC 30305(a) – Felon in Possession of Ammunition
HS 11370.1(a) – Possession of a Controlled Substance while Armed  

LOCATION: Needles Highway / M Street, Needles CA 

SUSPECT(S): Brice Jackson, 38-years- old, Resident of Needles, CA

VICTIM(S): Confidential


SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 26, 2024, at about 2:15 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Sheriff’s Station / Needles Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Needles Highway near M Street. The driver was identified as Brice Jackson, who was on Post Release Community Supervision. Jackson was found to be in violation of the terms of his community supervision and was arrested. 

A loaded pistol and suspected methamphetamine were found in his vehicle. Jackson is prohibited from possessing firearms and was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition and possession of a controlled substance while armed.  

Jackson was booked into the Colorado River Station Jail and is being held without bond, pending a court appearance.
