Bomb Threat at Needles School Determined a Hoax after Sheriff's Detectives Investigate Incident

SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 26, 2024, at approximately 11:52 a.m., deputies and detectives from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to a report of a bomb threat. Upon arrival, deputies contacted school staff and learned that an unknown person called in a bomb threat. Deputies immediately began a criminal investigation, thoroughly searched the campus, and nothing suspicious was found. Deputies determined the call was a hoax and neither the students nor the school were in any danger.
