Alert

Weather Update #5: Hurricane Helene

CONTINUE TO SHELTER IN PLACE

Several roads are down to one lane due to blocked roadways from trees, power lines, and several power poles.
There is hazardous debris across the island, including loose tree limbs that could fall on moving vehicles or pedestrians. Please continue to shelter in place and DO NOT ATTEMPT to traverse roadways.

Conditions remain unsafe and vehicles/pedestrians on the road will delay crews from being able to clear debris as quickly as possible.

Georgia State Patrol continues to patrol the island and Jekyll Island Fire/EMS remains activated for emergency needs.

REMINDERS
The majority of Glynn County, including Jekyll Island, remains without power. More information regarding power restoration will be shared as it is made known by Georgia Power. More info can be found online: outmap.georgiapower.com
