Deputies Respond to Call and Discover a Man had been Shot; Suspect Identified and Arrested

DATE/TIME: September 26, 2024, at approximately, 6:24 p.m.

INCIDENT: P.C. 664/187- Attempted Murder 

LOCATION: 200 Block of Walnut Street, Needles, CA

SUSPECT(S): Joe Hallman, 52-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA

VICTIM(S): Confidential


SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 26, 2024, at approximately 6:24 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Sheriff's Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 200 block of Walnut Street, reference a subject that had been shot.

During the investigation, it was determined the suspect, Joe Hallman, shot the victim after a verbal altercation. Hallman fled the scene in his vehicle before deputies arrived. The victim was later treated at an area hospital. 

Hallman was contacted a short time later at a nearby residence and was arrested without incident. Hallman was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department on $1,000,000.00 bail, awaiting a court hearing.
