WPD searching for shoplifter so schools placed in LOCKOUT. No danger to the public at this time. 1 in custody. 
You will see increased police activity on and around Bassett Rd/Dover Center and the Dover schools. We are currently investigating a shoplifting from C. Park where at least 1 person fled from police. The Schools are currently in a LOCKOUT. Which means there is NO DANGER inside the schools. We just want to assure that no unauthorized person is able to enter a school due to the proximity of the incident. 1 person is in custody. We anticipate that schools WILL dismiss at normal times.
Increased officers will be present for school dismissals.
