LOCATION: 14800 block of Avenida Anita, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Yon Pak, a 52-year-old resident of Chino Hills
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Monday, September 23, 2024, at 7:47 a.m., Sheriff's Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call regarding a stabbing at a home in the 14800 block of Avenida Anita in Chino Hills. Deputies arrived and found a 13-year-old male juvenile and his mother, Yon Chu Pak, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Deputies rendered aid to both people until relieved by Chino Valley Fire District personnel. They were both transported to a local trauma center for treatment.
Chino Hills detectives assumed the investigation. They processed the crime scene and conducted interviews. Through investigation, detectives learned Pak stabbed the juvenile victim and then attempted suicide. The victim and Pak were treated at a hospital and survived their injuries. Pak was arrested and was booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
