Deputy Arrests Man for Drug Sales after Man Enters a Dwelling Illegally

LOCATION: 2400 Block of Monterey Avenue, San Bernardino, CA 92410
SUSPECT(S): Joshue Zarate, 33-year-old, Transient of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Deputy Robert Beler responded to the 2400 block of Monterey Avenue in, San Bernardino, in reference to an illegal entry into a dwelling. Beler contacted the suspect, identified as Joshue Zarate, inside the residence. Beler arrested Zarate and conducted a search of his person.
During the search of Zarate, Beler located a realistic looking BB gun pistol in his waistband and a clear plastic bag with approximately two ounces of suspected methamphetamine in his pant pocket. The large quantity of methamphetamine was consistent with drug sales under H&S Code 11378. Deputy Beler arrested Zarate for violation of H&S Code 11378, Possession of Methamphetamine for Sales, a felony. Zarate was booked at Central Detention Center and held on $30,000 bail.
