...The National Weather Service in Peachtree City GA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia... Flint River below Big Branch near Molena affecting Meriwether and Pike Counties. For the Flint River Basin...including Lovejoy, Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Americus, Peachtree City, Woolsey, Sharpsburg, Peachtree City, Peachtree City, Senoia, Griffin, Griffin, Orchard Hill, Thomaston, Molena, Carsonville, Montezuma, Byromville...Major flooding is forecast. Additional information is available at weather.gov/atlanta.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Flint River below Big Branch near Molena.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning to Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 33 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Flooding continues to expand into the agricultural and wooded areas upstream and downstream from the gage located near the pump station. Significant flooding expands into the agricultural and wooded areas downstream from the gage near the Georgia Highway 74 bridge. Elevated homes in this location will have several feet of water underneath them. Access roads to these homes will be completely flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 25.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 31.4 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Monday morning. - Flood stage is 28 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
