* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Bland and Tazewell.

* WHEN...Until 915 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water, and water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 241 AM EDT, heavy rain has ended, but flooding is still occurring in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Bluestone River, Beech Fork, Clinch River, Blue Spring Creek, Big Creek and Burkes Garden Creek. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bland, Richlands, Bluefield, Tazewell, Cedar Bluff, Burkes Garden and Ceres. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
