* Flash Flood Warning for... McDowell County in western North Carolina...
* Until 400 PM EDT Saturday.
* At 810 AM EDT, Emergency management reported emergency conditions due to flooding across McDowell County. Between 7 and 20 inches of rain fell Thursday and Friday. Rivers and reservoirs continue to run very high. Debris flows occurred Thursday and Friday and in some cases rescues still are ongoing. Road closures continue. HAZARD...Dangerous and in some cases life-threatening flooding, constituting a public emergency. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams. Urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses still may be submerged.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Marion, Old Fort, Lake James, Lake James State Park, Linville Falls, Pleasant Gardens, Sugar Hill, Glenwood, Woodlawn, Nebo, Fero, Busick, Little Switzerland, North Cove, Dysartsville, Ashford, and a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
* AFFECTED AREAS: MCDOWELL, NC

Your message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
