Handling a water/sewer problem

If you are a city water customer, and experience a water or sewer problem, please text the on-call Public Works tech at (386) 433-6112.
Be sure to include your name and address of the incident. Our technician, who may be working when you submit your incident, will get to you just as quickly as possible.
To reduce strain on your system, please limit your water and wastewater use, especially flushing toilets. Remember: Anything you use still goes to your grinder basin, and without power, the grinder pumps are not running. You do have roughly 500 gallons of space in the basin. But once it's full, it may begin back flowing into your home.
If you have a generator, many grinder control boxes have a connection for a generator to plug into. The pumps that have it are 240v pumps, while any others are typically 120v. You'll need a Nema L14-20 plug in order to hook your generator up to the control box.
Once the control box has power, the grinder pump should kick on and start pumping your grinder basin down. The alarm may go off, just look for the silence button on the bottom or side of the control box and press it in.
