The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM CDT this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Iowa, Lyon, Sioux and Plymouth. In Minnesota, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone and Rock. In Nebraska, Dixon and Dakota. In South Dakota, Brookings, Moody, Minnehaha, Lincoln, Clay and Union.
* WINDS...Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 18 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
