Fall Covid and flu vaccination clinics scheduled; Rodent education session reminder; Maritime Park Skatepark survey closes tonight

Fall COVID-19 and flu vaccination clinics

The City of Hoboken and the Division of Health will co-host COVID-19 and flu vaccination clinics with Medicine Man Pharmacy this fall.

Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 shots, as well as seasonal flu vaccines, will be available to residents 12 years old and older. Insurance is required for both; however limited flu vaccinations are available for those without insurance.

Clinics will be held at the Multi-Service Center, 124 Grand St., on:  

  • Oct. 2, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Oct. 28, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Nov. 12, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  

Appointments are preferred and can be made online at: www.medicinemanrx.com/vaccination-testing. Walk-ins are welcome, but not guaranteed. For more information or assistance, email: [email protected] or call the Hoboken Division of Health at (201) 420-2375.

In addition, the City of Hoboken and Hudson Regional Health Commission, will continue monthly free pop-up Covid and flu vaccine clinics into the fall, with the next event scheduled for Oct. 17 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Multi-Service Center. For more information, head to: HudsonCountyVax.org.

Register for Hoboken's Rodent Control and Mitigation Community Education Session 

Residents are reminded that the City of Hoboken, the Hoboken Health Division, and the Hoboken Office of Constituent Services are hosting a Community Education Session on Rat Control and Mitigation on Oct. 9, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Multi-Service Center, 124 Grand St. 

Experts in the field will be on hand to discuss a variety of topics including the rodent lifecycle and ecosystem, how to seal burrows on private property, prevention strategies including containerization, updates on City mitigation efforts, regulatory codes and enforcement, and more.

Maritime Park Skatepark survey closes tonight

Residents are reminded to share their input on the new Maritime Park Skatepark, by filling out a survey before 6 p.m. tonight.

The design team will use feedback from the survey, community meetings, and future public engagement to create a design for the skatepark at Maritime Park, which will be constructed at on the Hudson River waterfront at the former Union Dry Dock site.

Fill out the survey at: hobokennj.gov/skateparksurvey. The survey will close at 6 p.m. tonight.
