Between September 21st and September 25th Campbell PD responded to numerous reports about windows of businesses and cars being shot at with BB gun pellets. At least 10 different incidents of broken windows were reported, resulting in more than $21,700 of damages to local businesses and residents.
Through the dedicated efforts of our Patrol Officers and our Special Enforcement Division (SED) detectives, CPD officers leveraged surveillance footage and Flock technology to identify the suspect as, Frank Vincent Ramos Jr., 19 years old, of San Jose.
At approximately 9:42am on Friday, September 27th, CPD officers executed an arrest warrant for Ramos in front of the Bank of America in the Pruneyard Shopping Center. While searching Ramos’s vehicle they recovered a black .44 magnum replica BB gun on the driver side floorboard and half an empty bottle of BBs in the center console.
Ramos was arrested for felony vandalism damaging property and willful discharge of a BB gun in a grossly negligent manner. He has since posted bail.
We are very fortunate that no one was injured during these events and continue to encourage our community to report suspicious activity.
