On May 19th, the police department began investigating a report of a subject who unlawfully used another subject's debit card at Spike's Public House, 4 East Washington Street. After a thorough investigation, the report was forwarded to the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office. On August 21st, the state's attorney's office charged the defendant, Jonathan M. Truesdale, 43 of Millstadt, with Unlawful Use of Debit Card; a Class 4 Criminal Felony, Category B Offense. On September 6th, the Columbia Police Department apprehended Truesdale on the warrant while on a traffic stop in the city of Columbia.
