A Rosh Hashanah Message from Mayor Tom Giordano
My Dear Neighbors & Friends:
On behalf of your Council Members and myself, we would like to wish all our Jewish Residents a Happy Rosh Hashanah, (New Year).
Rosh Hashanah commemorates the creation of the world and marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection and repentance that culminates in the Yom Kippur holiday, also known as the Day of Atonement. Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are the two “High Holy Days” in the Jewish religion.
All members of the Jewish faith around the world will gather to thank God for the Creation of the World and the Creation of Adam & Eve.
May your Rosh Hashanah be filled with moments of renewal and many happy memories that last a lifetime.
May Hashem shower his blessings on you and usher upon you and your loved ones a year of Good Health, Happiness, Prosperity, and Love.
Give us the vision to see what is possible
Give us the faith that will help pave the way
for a present that is hopeful, a future that is peaceful
and give us the heart to bring joy to each other every day.
May this New Year bring you happiness, joy and peace. May your fears fade away, your strength be renewed, and your dreams come true. L’Shanah Tovah
Mayor Tom Giordano
