Wilmington Police arrest two men on drug charges following investigation:
Wilmington Police have arrested two men on drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in August, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 400 block of North Scott Street. On September 26, at approximately 11:05 a.m., police took 38-year-old Brandon Gibson, and 37-year-old Thomas Brown into custody without incident in that block. Subsequently, police executed search warrants in the 400 block of North Scott Street, and the 1700 block of West 6th Street. Police recovered 24.71 grams of crack cocaine, .182 grams of heroin, 23.16 grams of marijuana, $1,570, and drug paraphernalia.
Gibson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Brown has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity
