The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from noon Friday to 6 PM MDT Saturday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* IMPACTS: Low humidities, unseasonably warm temperatures, strong gusty winds, and wind shift with a cold front will create erratic fire behavior.

* AFFECTED AREA: In South Central MT Fire Zones...123...124...125...126...127 128...129.

* COUNTIES AFFECTED: In Central MT...Golden Valley...Musselshell...Wheatland. In South Central MT...Big Horn...Carbon...Park...Stillwater Sweet Grass...Yellowstone. In Southwest MT...Gallatin.

* COLD FRONT: Dry cold front arrives Friday night, bringing a shift from southwest to strong west to northwest winds.

* WIND: Southwest gusts 20 to 30 mph Friday afternoon, with gusts of 50 to 60 mph along the western foothills (Livingston, Nye, Big Timber) by late Friday afternoon and evening. West to northwest winds gusting 45 to 55 mph are expected along and just behind the frontal passage late Friday night into Saturday.

* HUMIDITY: Minimums of 10 to 15 percent Friday, followed by a poor recovery Friday night. Minimums of 15 to 25 percent on Saturday.

* TEMPERATURES: Highs in the 80s Friday, cooling into the 60s to lower 70s for Saturday.
