Wilmington Police arrest Georgetown man on gun and drug charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested a Georgetown man on gun and drug charges.
On October 2, at approximately 10:54 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 2300 block of North Market Street when they observed a male subject engaged in drug-related activity. At this time, the male subject left the area in a vehicle and was observed committing several traffic violations. Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 200 block of West 29th Street and took 27-year-old Christopher Edmunds of Georgetown, DE into custody without incident. Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, .497 grams of heroin, $409, and drug paraphernalia.
Edmunds has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
