SCSO MAIT Team Investigating Fatal Overnight Traffic Collision in Waterford
Waterford, CA -
On Oct. 4th 2024 at 3:03 am, Waterford Police Services deputies responded to the reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in the 12000 block of Yosemite Blvd.
Deputies attempted life-saving measures prior to the pedestrian being transported to a local hospital.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained on-scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Due to the severity of the crash, the Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team was activated and took over the investigation.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the collision.
